What can I store on PinThis?
Store videos, photos, audio, documents, datasets, and other files. Public files can be shared by direct link. Supported video and audio formats also have built-in players. Private backup is available through compatible clients.
Do I need to move my website?
No. Upload your files to PinThis and use direct links in the website or tools you already use. Supported video and audio can also be embedded.
Does PinThis convert my videos?
PinThis stores and serves the files you upload. It does not automatically transcode a video into multiple qualities. For broad browser playback, prepare a compatible MP4 with its index at the front. Video preparation guide.
Will every video start instantly?
Cache hits can shorten the retrieval path. An uncached file or an uncached part of a recording needs a storage read and may take longer. Playback also depends on encoding and your viewer’s connection.
What happens when delivery goes over the limit?
Publish includes 3 TB of public delivery per UTC calendar month, with $2 per additional TB. Additional delivery requires opt-in and a monthly spending limit. The previous month’s actual additional delivery is added to your next monthly bill; outstanding usage is settled when your subscription ends. Cached views count toward delivery. Can I store private files?
Public uploads can be opened by anyone who has their address. Private backups use a separate workflow through compatible clients on the Free or Keep plan. Choose the workflow that matches how you want to use your files.
Can I use my existing tools?
Yes. Use browser uploads for public files, connect an IPFS workflow through the Pinning Service API, or use a compatible client for private backups. The documentation explains each path.
